Clogged Gutters
Gutters need to be clear of dirt and debris to work properly. Rainwater should flow straight into the gutter troughs, and normally, all you should hear is water trickling. During a heavy downpour, the gutter hangers may make slight creaking noises. These are normal noises and you shouldn’t be concerned about them.
Clogged gutters, on the other hand, tend to make more noise. Large twigs, stones and other similar kinds of debris in the gutters may be agitated by rainwater as it flows, resulting in rattling or banging sounds. They may also scrape the caulk and coatings within the gutter troughs, which may expose the metal underneath to corrosion.
